Posting of material on the Fayette County, Iowa Democratic Party (FCIDP) website (http://fayettedemocrats.com/) will be guided by the following Acceptable Use Policies (AUP). In general, it is felt that this should be a somewhat flexible forum representing the politics and goals of the FCIDP. However, there is a necessity to keep the site representative of the FCIDP and the communities that we live in. Common sense and civil discourse that can be made available to people of any age are the guiding principles.
All matters of access and content will be controlled by the FCIDP, the FCIDP Central Committee, the FCIDP Chairperson, or their designates in the person of webmasters. Any matter of dispute regarding access or acceptability of content will be controlled by the FCIDP Central Committee and any guidelines as set up in the FCIDP Constitution.
Disputes regarding the acceptability of materials on the website or materials submitted for addition to the website will be resolved by FCIDP Central Committee.. The determination of the the the FCIDP Central Committee will be final.
All persons given access to and/or submitting content to the website will:
comply with all applicable laws, including all copyright laws. This applies to all material posted, used, or displayed on the website, This also applies to all software used in conjunction with the website or the website's hosting server(s).
not use, post, or display obscene, pornographic, or illegal material on the website
will not put the FCIDP at risk of litigation by using, posting, or displaying inappropriate material on the website
be a civil citizen in all text, aural, or visual material used, posted, or displayed.
Sanctions
Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the removal of any material deemed to be in violation and the possible loss of any update access by the offending party or parties. Additionally, the offending individuals may be held liable for any damages incurred because of the violation of the AUP.
